Warm, soft, and lightweight! This is what we like about this BEDSURE Sherpa Fleece Blanket. It’s neither an electric nor a heated blanket, but it also provides extra warmth whenever you’re under it.
You don’t think it’s true? Well, it might not be the electric blanket you are looking for, but it could prove to you how amazing it is in terms of providing warmth. We are not saying this to convince you to buy it. We are saying this because this is what this throw could do.
At first, we think it’s just an ordinary cover. We are also as skeptical as you are, but when we received our order, our view about this throw blanket changed.
How did this one change our mind? Well, keep on reading, and we’ll provide you everything you need to know about this piece.
What kind of fabric did they use for this throw cover?
The manufacturer said they used a premium 100% polyester microfiber in all layers. This makes this thing more durable and extra soft. For the extra soft, we couldn’t agree more because it does. Well, even the durability note is also something we agree on.
The thing we like about the microfiber is they don’t bunch off even after several washes. They remain on their shape just like this BEDSHURE Throw Blanket—regardless of how many times we throw it in our washing machine. Its shape remains the same.
Also, another thing we like about this is it does not create static in chilly weather. Some fabrics have the static, right? But this one doesn’t have it, which means it will give you peace of mind when using it. You won’t experience this short electricity touching your skin.
Is it true that this is a combination of Sherpa and Fleece?
Yes, they indeed combined Fleece and Sherpa for this cover. They used the fleece fabric on top, which serves as the face of this piece. You’ll see the Sherpa at the bottom which acts as the warmer for this blanket.
These two fabrics are a great combination for us. Why? Because as we all know, Sherpa is great at providing warmth, while fleece gives the soothing experience and it also helps the color from staying crisp.
Well, let’s talk about them further.
Let’s start with this Fleece fabric. We approve the softness of the fleece they used on this one. We couldn’t find any reason we should not like it.
Rubbing your hands on top of it is so addicting and relaxing. Also, the fibers feel high end. Even though many people say they priced it expensively, we’ll still purchase it. We still think it’s worth our money.
By the way, we more prefer lying on top of it rather than being underneath. That is of course if the weather is nice and not a chilly one.
This part of this BEDSURE Sherpa Fleece Blanket also serves as the face of this whole thing. It carries the colors that attract its prospected customers. It’s amazing how this fabric could maintain the crispness of its color, regardless of how many times we spin it in our washing machine. And because of this, we agree that this one is fade and stain resistant, just like what the manufacturer said on its description. Well, we tried to spill a small amount of coffee on it. It got a stain. But after washing it with a mild detergent, the coffee disappeared, and it did not leave any mark.
This is the bottom part of this piece, and we know how concern you are about how it could heat your chilly room.
Well, it won’t disappoint you, we are sure about that. Yes, it might not work as the electric blanket does to you, but it’s also exemplary on its duty, and that’s warming you when you need it.
We like how it could warm our body. It doesn’t feel like it’s toasting us, though. We did not experience sweating when we used it, maybe because the room is too cold during that time. Well, it only means that it could provide warmth no matter how cold the weather is.
This part is thick. But even though it’s thick, it doesn’t feel heavy. In fact, it’s almost lightweight, which also means you won’t feel suffocated whenever you’re under this throw.
The next question you might ask is, is it itchy? No, it’s not. It’s smooth, and it feels great on our skin. It doesn’t have the obvious synthetic fibers that cheap Sherpa fabrics have. Those fibers are uncomfortable whenever it rubs our skin, right? And this one doesn’t have that kind of touch.
What about the stitches? Are they neat or do I need to worry about that?
Well, this question is subjective. What we mean about that is we don’t know the quality of the stitches for every single piece. What we have is clean and neat. But we’ve heard several complaints that they received unsewn blankets. Some portion of the piece is not sewn neatly, which not only disappoints the customers but also us. Why? Because this is a beautiful throw blanket, and everyone deserves to experience its beauty and its functionality.
By the way, the one we have in our hand is neat and clean. It doesn’t have loose threads dangling everywhere. All stitches are intact (well-sewed) and evenly sewn. We don’t see a crooked line of stitches, so it’s a thumb’s up for us.
Remember, this is a subjective comment regarding this matter. Our experience might differ from other people who purchased it. But we’re still convinced that BEDSURE’S blankets are of high-quality.
What are the colors and sizes available?
You’ll like how vast the choices are for this BEDSURE Sherpa Fleece Blanket (both in size and color). We are in awe when we see their huge color collection. All of it is crisp and pleasing to the eyes. Each color is rich, and we like it.
Now, let’s see each size with its available colors.
- Twin (60 x 80): Pink, Light Blue, Red, Grey, Teal, Brown, Camel, Navy Blue, Purple, Sage Green, Carolina Blue, Dark Grey
- Queen (90 x 90): Red, Grey, Teal, Navy Blue, Purple, Dark Grey
- King (108 x 90): Red, Grey, Teal, Navy Blue, Purple, Dark Grey
- Throw (50 x 60): Pink, Light Blue, Red, Grey, Teal, Brown, Camel, Navy Blue, Purple, Sage Green, Carolina Blue, Dark Grey
The colors are rich. Does it bleed when you spin it in your washing machine?
It’s also one of our concerns because what we have is the red one. We’re afraid that it will bleed once we soak it in water, but surprisingly, it did not. We keep on checking the water during the washing if the color transferred to it, and glad to know that it did not.
Also, we noticed that it did not fade even after we dried it in our dryer. The only thing you should be aware of is you need to have a huge washing machine, so this blanket could spin freely inside. This will prevent this blanket from getting damaged.
Does it leave lint everywhere?
Well, it does not.
The fibers for both the Fleece and Sherpa Fabric seemed to be great on holding up. It does not shed as other fabrics do.
We even checked our washing machine after we washed it, and no evidence of lint inside. We also rolled on the fleece side wearing a black shirt and black pants, and no fibers transferred to our clothes.
